What changed in FriendDiff.

Every public release, documented in one place. Older installers are not offered because FriendDiff relies on current security, sync, and service compatibility.

FriendDiff now feels organized around the actual loop: sync, review a session, compare teammates, and bring the receipt.

Session receipts

  • Adds a last-session summary with record, win rate, most-played champion, and most-present teammate.
  • Groups games played less than two hours apart into a readable session instead of another pile of match rows.
  • Copies a concise, branded session receipt for Discord or the group chat.

Useful match history

  • Adds champion, KDA, role, KDA ratio, duration, selected teammates, result, and date to every row.
  • Normalizes Riot queue labels and removes malformed or internal-looking queue names.
  • Adds duration, role, and game patch context to match details.

Clearer comparisons

  • Turns Players into a teammate directory with shared record, most-seen champion, last-seen date, and explicit comparison controls.
  • Expands group cards with competitive games, record, win rate, member identity, and the latest shared result.
  • Adds time filtering to Analytics and keeps League-only champion and queue filters readable at normal window sizes.

Honest account status

  • Normal Electron builds now say match history is available instead of pretending live Overwolf tracking is active.
  • Linked Account shows local history, cloud history, last cloud update, and a deliberate confirmation before replacing an identity.
  • Public Riot data is described as synced—not verified ownership.

FriendDiff's installer now carries the app's visual language through the complete setup flow.

Dark setup flow

  • Themes the welcome, install-progress, and finish surfaces with FriendDiff's midnight palette.
  • Adds FriendDiff-colored progress and navigation treatments instead of default white wizard pages.
  • Uses concise product-specific setup and completion copy.

Less Windows boilerplate

  • Removes the unnecessary install-mode selection from the normal setup path.
  • Keeps the signed assisted flow while reducing setup to the decisions that matter.
  • Opens FriendDiff directly from a clearly labeled finish screen.

Cleaner group identity

  • Removes Group POV beneath the current user's Me label.
  • Removes the redundant Your FriendDiff account caption beneath the current username.
  • Keeps the useful shared-match explanation and friend-specific records.

A branded setup experience and a clearer group dashboard remove ambiguity before and after installation.

Premium Windows setup

  • Replaces the generic one-click setup with a signed, assisted FriendDiff installer.
  • Adds original FriendDiff sidebar and header artwork, branded icons, install-location choice, and explicit shortcuts.
  • Keeps uninstall data by default so an accidental reinstall does not erase local history.

Clear group perspective

  • Renames Group win rate to Shared win rate and states that results use your linked account's point of view.
  • Explains exactly which matches qualify: games containing your account and another accepted group member.
  • Shows direct overlap, shared record, and shared win rate separately for each friend.

You are you

  • Labels your own group row as Me instead of reporting that you have no shared games with yourself.
  • Separates cloud-sync health from the actual shared-match comparison.
  • Adds a highlighted visual treatment for the current FriendDiff account.

Shared-game detection now uses both participant identity and authoritative cloud ownership.

Ownership-aware matching

  • Counts a match's cloud owner as present in the accepted FriendDiff group.
  • Repairs older records where the friend was identified but the uploader's own participant lacked a FriendDiff ID.
  • Uses the same rule for shared matches, full-lineup matches, member records, and group analytics.

Verified against real history

  • Diagnosed the stored FriendDiff history rather than relying on estimated sync counts.
  • Found 163 records containing the friend's identity and the owner's cloud ID that were previously reported as zero.
  • Requires no Riot re-import because the necessary ownership data is already stored.

Profile comparisons

  • Member-effect calculations recognize the owner even when their participant mapping is absent.
  • Keeps separately synced friend history available for without-you comparisons.
  • Continues reconciling richer participant identity whenever cloud history refreshes.

FriendDiff 0.1.10 alpha

Friend and group history now reconciles Riot match identity across every accepted member's cloud sync.

Shared-game identity

  • Treats each uploader's local Riot participant as authoritative for their FriendDiff account.
  • Merges FriendDiff identities from duplicate copies of the same Riot match instead of discarding one player's identity.
  • Restores group shared-game detection when the match was visible by Riot username but not connected to the group member.

Cross-player profiles

  • Preserves independently synced matches so friends can inspect games that were not played together.
  • Keeps the viewer's match perspective while merging identity metadata from other synced members.
  • Reconciles updated League links on every cloud refresh without requiring another Riot import.

Reliability

  • Uses cloud ownership as a fallback when a League connection lookup is stale or temporarily unavailable.
  • Combines all contributing FriendDiff account IDs on shared records.
  • Applies the same identity-aware match pool to Groups and the Analytics Center.

A custom FriendDiff desktop shell and a major analytics reliability pass make the alpha feel more like a real product—and stop tiny samples from pretending to be evidence.

Custom desktop experience

  • Replaces the stock Windows and Electron frame with a branded draggable titlebar and custom window controls.
  • Adds rounded windowed corners plus inset, app-styled scrollbars that begin below the titlebar.
  • Keeps maximize, restore, minimize, close, dragging, and Windows Snap behavior intact.

Analytics you can defend

  • Adds a universal 10-game minimum for percentage-based friend, champion, item, group, queue, role, and side findings.
  • Adds role-aware LosersQueue burden analysis so supports are measured through vision, participation, survival, and their opposing support.
  • Adds champion-specific full-item cores with time and gold eligibility so short games are not counted as build deviations.

Better receipts

  • Evaluates defensive purchases against the full enemy team's recorded damage instead of blaming one champion.
  • Adds queue filters throughout Match History, Players, Groups, and Analytics.
  • Gives friend cards distinct receipt formats backed by each friend's real sample and effect.

  • Keeps notable receipts throughout FriendDiff while providing a dedicated place for deeper exploration.

  • Uses enemy champions, enemy final builds, and recorded physical-versus-magic damage composition.
  • Adds item-pair frequency, item win rates, without-item comparisons, suitability counts, and explicit sample sizes.

Deeper comparisons

  • Adds per-champion KDA, damage, records, and win rates.
  • Adds competitive-versus-casual duo coverage and repeated champion-pair results.
  • Adds group lineup records plus queue, role, map-side, and recent-form win-rate splits.

  • Shows exactly how many casual or non-Summoner's Rift matches were excluded.

Comparison clarity

  • Removes the decorative circular treatment from insight callouts.
  • Existing matches missing item data are automatically backfilled during the next League refresh.

A group-sync reliability release that makes cloud counts, upload progress, and shared-game totals agree.

Cloud reconciliation

  • Cloud progress begins from the records already verified online instead of incorrectly resetting to zero.
  • Interrupted uploads recover automatically, and concurrent upload requests are processed safely in order.
  • Every progress update now reflects the confirmed cloud record count rather than an estimated batch position.

Resilient group loading

  • A temporary upload failure no longer hides cloud history that is already available.
  • Stale uploading states are detected and retried instead of remaining stuck indefinitely.
  • Group members see clearer syncing, verifying, interrupted, and completed states.

Accurate shared matches

  • A shared group match now requires at least two accepted group members on the same team.
  • Group totals, member impact, recent matches, and receipts now use the same shared-match set.
  • Duplicate match records from multiple members remain consolidated into one group result.
